Welcome to Season Two of Global InterLeague Trophy!!!
Season One went down without any major disfunctions and ran very smoothly considering it being it's first season and the different gamestyles that could be used. I applaud the Admins on thier Cam Rules, anything short of obvious cheating on cam is pretty much cool as long as you cam your game. No cheap wins for misplaced timestamps, or hidden icons(Both oddly kept by other interlgs), fore it is to dispell cheating/aiming that we use cam isnt it?Exactly.
There are some changes this season, Most notably the Reporting Violations will be enforced this season. Last season you could get away with passing the deadline and getting your report in late, this season you have 48 hours to report and only One Warning, after that it will be a week in the box. It's not hard to report, and 48 hours gives you plenty of time to get it in or notify an admin if you can't report..so don't get pissy if you fail to report within the large timeframe.
There have been updates to the "Wild cards" for this season, something the admins seem to want to do every season, which is pretty cool. This season the "Last Pocket" wildcard is out and in comes the "Pyschic 8" Wildcard. At the beggining of the game, you get to choose your opponets 8ball pocket, home team choosing first and they cannot be the same. A scenario that I'm sure will come up has been addressed already, if the 8ball becomes stuck in your opponets pocket leaving you no shot, its to be played on..it can only be a re-rack if your opponet so chooses to allow it, not manditory.
Other New Additions include a Weekly Guest Predictor and the Welcoming of Rich as admin.
If you are interested in becoming a "guest predictor" for a week, then contact Chris or Joe via YIM and set it up with them.
Now for the PreSeason Rankings :)
#1 - International Cue Addiction
A new league to GIT, with some old familiar faces. Trey leads his group of followers onto the table with his head held high, as he has some real talent behind him. Joining him for this season are a few MVP candidates from last season(Nick & Craig), as well as consistent winners such as Shan,Croz, and Nish. With a full lineup each week of high caliber players it should prove to be a good season for them and they should wrap up a playoff spot earlier than most.
#2 - Pool Fiction
Another new league to GIT that should do very well is Pool Fiction. Lead by the incrediable sexy Kerry :), this team includes weekly winners like Miz, Lewis,Brent and Andy. Showing with a full team will not be a problem for Kerry, and they should do well matching up with the other leagues week in and week out.
#3 - Freedom
Last years Regular Season Champs will look slightly different this season, but should still perform rather well. As Petey loses craig, he gains Hope..though not normally a good switch, Hope has been playing pretty lights out of late, taking it to the guys daily and winning. If he keeps players in Corey and Adam they should stay near the top, though I'm not certain what his lineup looks like for GIT, so they could finish abit lower than 3rd overall.
#4 - Magic Pool
Last Seasons runner-up to SS looks to have another good season and them doing well is highly likely. The feature players like Jordy and Chris, who will both compete for MVP again this season, along with players like Anil, they can beat up on the weaker teams and compete with the top teams. Consistency all season will be thier key, as they look to finish strong and make another good run in the playoffs.
#5 - Extreme Pool Competitors
Epc lost some key players, but adds a few new faces to keep competing. I'm not sure how Jack does it, but he always seems to be able to reload after each season with decent talent and compete. With the likes of Daru and Gus, along with Killah Jason,Stephen and Timm, they could and should compete with the top leagues all season long..Consistency will be key as it always is with jacks squads.
#6 - Straight Shots
Last seasons eventual champions will look to compete again this season, but with some different talent. As they lose players like Nick and Shan, they gain Mike and Matt, who can both win some games for Nigel each week. I don't see them performing well enough for a top spot, but should make the playoffs and could suprise us again this season..who knows.
#7 - Brit Pool
Brit Pool has a new captain in pommy, who left mib just as we were getting used to the idea of mib finally competing. They might bring a good lineup each week, I'm not certain though if they do they will compete well against the top teams. Having a full team each week will be key, as l see them having trouble over an 18 week season. Prove me wrong.
#8 - Sexy Poolerz
This league had issues bringing all of thier quality players to the table each week, as we saw Pete jump out to a 6-0 start, then go idle for 3 weeks..it's all about how they will show each week that determines where they will finish. They could be a decent league each week or they could not, only time will tell.
#9 - Money In the Bank
Last seasons last place finisher had enough tough luck to last us all a lifetime. By far more 2-3 losses than anyone else, things could have looked alot different in the standings via a single win/lose for this league. Showing with a full team each week is never an issue, nor is having a respectful group of players but that doesnt get you everywhere and I see them finishing near the bottom again. Goodluck :)
#10 - Ultimate Outlaws
Everyones favorite team to hate on looks to compete again this seaons, although it seems they are slowly losing all the skilled players they have to other teams slowly. They can pull off a few upsets but also lose to the worst of teams so who knows honestly. Over 18 weeks anything can happen and I'm sure it will..so goodluck and have fun :)
